A fantastic antique pop up anatomical diagram of a cow

A fantastic antique pop up anatomical diagram of a cow. This has multiple layers presenting the inner working of the bovine body within.

It was lithographed by Chas. Hart & Sons of New York and copyrighted by A. Gardenier in 1896. It is constructed of five full-size colour plates, the last of which contains about a dozen smaller fold-out flaps revealing the baby calves within. Each of the plates depicts a different anatomical system, including the outer physical appearance and "anatomical divisions", the muscular system, the circulatory system, the skeletal system, and lastly the digestive system along with the vital and reproductive organs. The different parts of the digestive system and vital organs each consist of small flaps that fold-out to reveal the parts located behind. There is an accompanying key to identify all the parts.

These illustrations are particularly charming. They are French in origin.

It is in great condition Everything is intact and working as should.
