    Benjamin Lauder Nicholson 1894-1982 was an English painter of abstract composition (sometimes in Low relief), landscapes and still-life

    This is a collection of 4 scarce books and catalogues from 1958-1980.

    The books include

    1) A 32 page catalogue for an exhibition from 1959 shown at the Galerie Charles Lienhard in Zurich. This is a soft cover publication with 28 colour and black and white reproductions of his work.

    2) A softcover 42 page first edition book titled Ben Nicholson. Published in 1961 by Kunsthalle in Bern Switzerland. It is in very good condition. This includes 22 black and white reproductions of work throughout Nicholsons career to date.

    3) An exhibition catalogue from Marlborough Galler,y London from 1963. The text is by John Russell. This catalogues the 58 works on display with 37 colour and black and white reproductions. There is 92 pages and the book is a mixture of satin paper and coloured kraft. Thereis some water damage to the front page but nothing that detracts from the imagery internally.

    4) A paper back exhibition catalogue by Waddington and Tooth Galleries from 1980. This is an unpaginated first edition with 62 reproducted excellently in colour.
