ABOUT
The Mint in Rye is a celebration of medieval history, positioned on a quaint street in the very centre of the ancient citadel of Rye, East Sussex and only seconds from historic landmarks, the river and all the independent shops, cafes and excellent pubs and restaurants the town centre has to offer.
Its sensitive restoration and its position in the oldest part of historic Rye mix beautifully with quirky individual comforts and luxuries throughout the house. With extensive exposed brick work and wooden beams this accommodation conjures up romantic images of the past yet is perfectly restored to provide the very best of modern comforts.
A large Tudor brick inglenook fireplace occupies a whole wall in the living room, the perfect place to kick back and relax on comfortable linen sofas after a day exploring Rye and the surrounding areas. A well equipped kitchen and dining room set the scene for a convivial candlelit dinner in front of a roaring log fire.
Relax in absolute comfort in the charming bedrooms, dressed with crisp white linen and complimentary bathrobes. Roll top cast iron baths encourage an indulgent soak, perhaps reading a vintage book from the house's unique collection.
In the warmer months a private walled courtyard garden provides the perfect spot to enjoy lunch al fresco.
"One of the top 12 places to stay in the UK for interior lovers." As featured in British Vogue.
